Position Purpose: As Director or Digital UX Optimization & Testing, you establish and drive the overall strategy for optimization and testing across Petco consumer facing digital experiences. This is a senior-level role with significant responsibility, creativity, UX expertise, and business sense required. Essential Job Functions: Create comprehensive strategies and triangulate data from different sources to develop a broad picture of UX opportunities Uncover what customers think, feel and value by using insights from user research, site metrics, and industry trends to drive the experience design for key customer journeys Utilize insights and testing to focus on measurably improving user experience and driving higher conversion Own testing and insight solutions to drive fast results, including competitive audits, pretotypes, physical prototypes, consumer interviews/feedback, and digital user testing. Own ongoing testing prioritization process & roadmap Own experience enhancement process; from discovery and requirements through to design and testing Ensure effectiveness through performance metrics and impact to customer purchase decisions Serve as a resource to the broader digital team on solving for UX related opportunities Empower UX design process & business decisions with insights & data Effectively consider & communicate UX strategies and detailed interaction behaviors across all platforms and devices Develop direction, vision, and methodology for a growing UX Optimization & Testing team and set the bar for quality by example with energy and passion Present persuasively and clearly articulate UX/Testing rationale Supervisory Responsibility: Leads UX/UI Design team Work Environment: Standard office environment, working on Agile SCRUM teamQualificationsEducation/Experience: Degree in Cognitive Science, Marketing, Business or equivalent experience 8+ years in consumer facing digital experience / eCommerce space Experience working with design and development teams through the product lifecycle Experience leading & mentoring UX talent Experience with rapid prototyping using tools such as Axure & Invision Experience with testing & personalization tools such as Monetate, Optimizely, and Dynamic Yield. Experience with Analytics tools such as Core Metrics, Omniture & Google Analytics
