Anticipating the need for a Payroll Clerk. The Payroll Clerk will support the payroll team in producing in-house payroll for up to 1600 employees. They Payroll Clerk will enter payroll data into the HR system showing all necessary information, collaborate with human resources to verify and correct information received for payroll input, provide support assistance to employee #146;s by responding to questions regarding payroll, taxes and miscellaneous deductions, provide backup to payroll technician, respond by phone or in writing to outside companies requesting verification of employment for past and present employees being considered for loans, employment, or payroll garnishment to include retirement plan verification of salary requests, verify and correct payroll data entry to ensure correctness, audit time sheets to verify time worked and proper authorizations, audit time clock system for missing punches and approvals, document imaging and indexing of all payroll paperwork, maintain and keep data current for research or review by staff, auditors, or IRS, prepare payroll liabilities, benefit liabilities, and garnishments totaling over .5million dollars for mailing. It is required the Payroll Clerk have two or more years of payroll preparation, accounting, or bookkeeping for organization with 500 or more employees. The Payroll Clerk must be well organized and extremely task, detail and customer service oriented.
