The Director, Global Market Development for Sample Preparation, reports to the Vice President and General Manager of our Sample Preparation business, and is a key leadership role on the Sample Prep team.
Own the development of marketing strategies to drive profitable growth across all channels and geographies.
Develop effective organizational relationships and successfully interact with key stakeholders who serve as Market Segment Managers, Inside Sales, Market Development, Divisional Presidents and Vice Presidents and outside customers and key opinion leaders.
Generate intelligence derived by gathering and analyzing information by attending seminars, tradeshows, undertaking web research, compiling sales and customer input.
Lead and further develop the talented Sample Prep marketing team enabling their growth and professional development.
Evolve and refine the Sample Prep brand, serving as a key brand ambassador across all channels; drive the development of internal and external communications and sales enablement materials.

Undergraduate degree required; an MBA or equivalent consulting / working experience is strongly preferred.
Minimum of 15 years of progressive career growth and experience in marketing and / or strategy development leadership roles; experience in life sciences industry preferred.
Broad functional experience in the fundamentals of marketing, including strategic planning, digital marketing/eBusiness, 4Ps and marketing mix, campaign development, customer segmentation and market research, promotions/advertising, and value proposition creation.
Ability to demonstrate direct leadership or ownership of a broad transformation (work or elsewhere).
Experience working in a multinational company with demonstrated ability to lead effectively and drive results in a matrixed management operating environment
Effective communicator (verbal, written, presentations), with a demonstrated ability to influence through a straight-forward style of communication
Highly developed commercial and business acumen; an ability to recognize growth opportunities and capitalize on them
Ability to understand, analyze and assimilate complex issues, draw correct conclusions and formulate clear strategy and policies
Able to travel up to 30% globally
