3 Summer-temporary positions available. From June 21, 2018 – August 7, 2018. Under the direction of the Activity Leader, this position performs reasonable work at The Salvation Army, Riverside Corps site relating to helping with the planning, organizing,

and implementing of curriculum and other activities for program participants. Helps lead activities and provide instruction to program participants. Helps implement the day’s activities according to program curriculum. Maintains discipline and reinforces appropriate

standards of behavior among the participants. Participates in the preparing of snack, maintenance and inventory of program supplies and equipment. Qualifications: Minimum High School graduate or equivalent. Minimum six months experience in childcare work (volunteer

or paid). Must be able to read, write and communicate well in English. Bilingual in English/Spanish, helpful. Tuberculosis test clearance. Must have a current CPR & First Aid Certification within 30 days of hire. Child development/child care issues. Appropriate

disciplinary techniques. Common recreational and social needs of school age children. Help in the instruction of children effectively. Help in the development and the implementation of a variety of age-appropriate recreational activities as outlined by program
