Intel Engineering Manager in San Diego, California
The Intel Communications and Devices Group (iCDG) is responsible for the delivery of world-class wireless connectivity technologies and products, as well as PEG's wearable and Internet of Things (IoT) Wireless and SoFIA based SoCs. These products include Wi-Fi, global navigation satellite system (GNSS) and location, Bluetooth, FM and Wireless Gigabit (WiGig), in addition to next generation Wearable and IoT solutions.
What you’ll do :
As a manager, you'll lead, coach and manage a team of passionate Engineers, setting priorities, provide guidance on employee development, performance, and productivity issues.
You will lead the planning efforts and schedule daily tasks, provide resources for and direct activities in the engineering function to meet schedules, cost and standards of world-class wireless connectivity technologies.
You will work very closely with the team on identifying and analyzing problems, plans, tasks, and implementation of resourceful solutions that align to new product development strategy and road map efforts
Demonstrate a positive collaboration leadership model, and work effectively in informal, and formal, teams with individuals from diverse communities and cultures

Bachelor or a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with 10-15 years of work experience in the wireless modem industry .
Experience with LTE Advanced features such as Carrier Aggregation
Wireless communications systems and standards knowledge, including LTE FDD/TDD and CDMA / GSM / GPRS
Experience in analyzing logs, troubleshooting issues from field or lab for 2G/3G including CDMA and LTE Understanding of with IP telephony network, SIP, IMS, and standards like VoLTE is a plus.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of system development and verification testing methods and concepts for wireless devices.
Experience working with embedded systems and software, particularly mobile chipsets or base station chipsets.
