A global scientific services company in San Diego is seeking an HRIS Analyst to join their team.
Administration of employee data in HRIS from hire to termination.
Performs all operational and transactional tasks required to process employee status changes.
Prepares and reviews audit trail report for all changes entered into HR systems and confirms with the Payroll Manager that those changes are correctly uploaded in the payroll system.
Serve as liaison for employees regarding group health plan enrollments and answers questions related to employee benefits.
Responsible for data entry and/or submission of employee benefit enrollment data in HRIS and to various benefit carriers.
Assists with review, testing and implementation of HRIS modules and software upgrades.
Responsible for monthly billing reconciliations for all benefits plans.
Manage HR Services email box.
Provide support for leave of absence administration.
Serves as first level contact to users for troubleshooting HR system issues.
Write, maintain and support a variety of reports or queries utilizing reporting tools. Prepare standard weekly and monthly reports for distribution and create ad hoc reports as needed. Maintains data integrity in HR systems by running reports/queries and analyzing data.
Maintains up-to-date HR system documentation and standard operating procedures.
Prepares organization charts for distribution.
Bachelor’s degree in HR or Business Administration or a Human Resources Certificate or equivalent work experience preferred
Familiar with standard Employee Benefit concepts, practices, regulations, and procedures. (Medical, HSA, HRA, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, 401(k), Flexible Spending Accounts, and COBRA)
4+ years of HR systems administration experience required
2+ years of experience administering employee benefit plans required
Experience with report writing and design tools required
Proficient in one or more HRIS systems, Ultipro preferred
Proficient in data analysis
Knowledgeable in benefits administration and compliance
Proficient in MS Office, with emphasis on Excel
Ability to interpret large amount of data. Familiar with pivot tables, VLookup function and creating formulas within Excel.
