The Technical Solutions Administrator III p rovides a technical leadership role for the Technical Services department encompassing all aspects of operational management, system administration, infrastructure, server, and storage technologies and dependent applications.

The mission of the Network Technical Services department is to provide flawless and transparent network access for Sharp stakeholders in support of the goals of Sharp HealthCare. This position provides the opportunity to lead with significant flexibility in a strong, creative team environment with other information technology professionals on complex and rewarding projects that positively impact the entire system.

Sharp System Services have campuses located in the communities of Kearny Mesa and Serra Mesa and consist of the Spectrum location, the Ruffin Road location and Sharp Operations Center (SOC). These offices provide the centralized integrated system support services to the operating entities within the system. These services include: Strategic Planning, Business Development, Information Systems, Compliance, Internal Audit, Legal, Risk Management and Insurance, Contracts, Human Resources, Facilities Management and Development, Clinical Effectiveness, Finance, Nursing, Systems Supply Chain Services, Marketing and Communications, The Sharp Experience and Sharp University.

Hours

8 hour -Day shift; Weekends and On-Call as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • BS or BA in Computer Science, or related field preferred, relevant experience of ten (10) years or more may be substituted

  • Ten (10) years of experience architecting, implementing, managing and supporting server infrastructure within a 7x24 enterprise environment that includes support of multiple Data Centers with approximately 2500 servers.

  • Primary responsibility to provide F5, Infoblox, VMware, Windows Server Administration

  • Strong understanding of IT architecture/engineering, networking, system sustainability, system development lifecycle and structured analytical/diagnostic skills within a high availability/reliability enterprise environment.

  • Ability to develop and document architectural solutions using diagrams, written descriptions and presentations, with ability to communicate and present results to peers and leaders.

  • Deep knowledge and operational experience with a variety of server technologies including Windows Server, Active Directory, Federated Services, Exchange 2003/2016, and Group Policy.

  • Advanced networking knowledge (principles and practices including TCP/IP, DNS, BGP, EIGRP, SNMP, WAN technologies, VLANs and LAN switching and routing). Experience with F5 appliances GTM/LTM configuration and Infoblox DNS appliance.

  • Experience with performing code upgrades on LTM and GTM devices

  • Experience with performing base builds and configurations for F5 LTM/GTM

  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting F5 OS version, 10.x, 11.x and 12.x

  • Strong knowledge of Vmware environment including vCenter, vSphere & ESX 5.5-6.5

  • Build and maintain Cisco UCS Chassis and Blade Servers

  • Experience in Storage solutions SAN/NAS concepts

  • Experience managing and monitoring server environments using native technology tools, and other monitoring tools such as vCenter, What’s up Gold, Solarwinds, Splunk, Turbonomics, Zerto, Riverbed and equivalent.

  • Self-directing individual demonstrating teamwork, organization skills and a well-structured working approach given multiple priorities.

  • Experience migrating technologies and applications within and between data center environments

  • Ability to coordinate the activities of multiple stakeholder teams, including customers, and multiple technical teams.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Proficiency in programming and development of the following custom scripts from scratch: Yaml, Windows PowerShell, Ruby/Python, Bash/Perl
